These contributions explore the ways we relate to our world. The more technology connects us, the more we realize how closely one discipline is related to another.  Philosophy influences science; science influences politics; politics influence art; art influences philosophy: what we call culture comes down to the way we see and digest these relations.  At the same time, the more technology connects us, the more we realize how different one culture and its beliefs can be from another, and the more crucial it becomes that we attempt to accept or understand those differences if we are to live together productively.  The old clichés are true: everything is related, and everything is relative.  Change and inspiration and growth come when we find new ways of relating to what we find around us, new ways of relating to our family, our friends, our colleagues, and with those whose cultures and beliefs are different from our own.  It is not always easy, and we may not always agree, but our relationship with this world, and with each other, is our only resource for change.
